I am a farm girl! (of course by the name of my business ;) ) Raised on a farm in South West Minnesota and now married to a farmer and living in South East Minnesota. I love living in the country for sooo many reasons! I have 2 beautiful girls 3 & 6 who keep me very busy and don’t leave me much time alone to create but they give me so much inspiration! I find my time to create and draw after they go to bed in my unfinished basement. Or if I happen to get somewhere early & without the kids (which does happen believe it or not!).

Art and creativity is half my soul…if I can’t create or draw part of me is missing. This is something I have come to learn about myself in the last 6 years of being a mom. It is my therapy and allows my mind to reset and absorb the days events. Any type of creativity whether creating something new or even doing a puzzle allows you to find your center again. Giving you the time to recharge and a space to express any feelings.

Most of my art just starts out with one little idea and then just expands on that…sometimes I have an idea but I almost never have the finished product in my mind before I start. Makes it more fun ;) and allows the creative process to really create magic.

The idea of ‘Perfection’ has always been ‘boring’, I want to say…nothing is ever prefect or free of flaws and those who want that will be disappointed again and again. I have always felt that anything and everything is ‘Perfect’ with its imperfections. Especially if it is made by hand with love & dreams. People are imperfect and that makes them special & unique.
